Coping Skills for Anxiety
From tests to social events to just general day to day moments, our students are finding themselves bombarded with anxious thoughts and feelings. Often times, they feel as though they are the only ones struggling. This generation needs to know they are not alone and there are healthy ways to cope. I would be honored to partner with you!
Schools from all over the country bring me in to speak to their students in 6th-12th grade on this topic. We cover the following:
My own journey of dealing with anxiety from a child to adult
Sympotoms to be aware of
Social media use and anxiety
Healthy coping skills they can put into their daily lives to deal with anxiety and stress.
Professional Development Training
Teachers are on the front lines with our students helping them face difficulties not only with learning new subjects, but also in dealing with feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and stressed. It can be easy for your staff to take on the anxiety of others, and not take care of themselves. Having a PD training to help teachers help their students with anxiety is where I come in for many schools. Let’s connect for this school year!
We work through the following:
What anxiety is and how it is affecting students and teachers
Healthy ways to cope with anxiety in age-appropriate ways
Healthy ways for teachers to deal with their anxiety and stress
